Angels on a Wire
Angels is the image from my residency that became the definitive photograph where I understood the language I choose for my work. That language gives rise to emotions and meaning. Color like Meyerson. Story like Burtynsky. Tight landscapes like Weston. And texture like painting. They all play in this image. First color, always color to tick interest. Texture of slickness of rain leads to feeling or remembering cool wet in a forest. Landscape story tells autumn or spring out a window into the forest where there is beautiful mysterious. Always I’m working with these and others in my work.
