How Many Things Here

How Many Things Here

In 2020, Minneapolis exploded into riots when Derek Chavin murdered George Floyd right in front of camera while Minneapolis watched in horror. And then watched with more horror when our cities erupted in destruction.
While other photographers were capturing images of the destruction, I found a small memorial garden growing in honor of George Floyd. I photographed the sunflowers for several months. Some editing happened right straight off from the camera. But a number of images are coming into light in 2021. Sometimes it takes time to digest what you saw then and how you see now.
