Flora

Throughout a number of years, I've photographed flowers and gardens. Whenever someone asks me why I think Georgia O'Keefe's answer when she was asked "why flowers". She said "they don't move". Unless there is a wind, she's so correct. I photograph them because I find them to be very sculptural and my backfround is cast metal and welded scultpture.

I came across a small garden loaded with sunflowers after George Floyd was murdered. In the corner of the garden was a small sign just barely noticeable. "George Floyd Memorial Garden". Here are the images from the summer.
